How to access Rubin data releases
Members of the LSST France community who are holders of Rubin data rights can access Rubin data releases at CC-IN2P3.

Data Preview 2 (DP2)
Description of the contents of this release: Vera C. Rubin Observatory Data Preview 2 (DP2).
Butler repository using alias: dp2.
DP2 catalogs are also available in HATS format under
/sps/lsst/datasets/rubin/previews/dp2/catalogs/hats
Please refer to LSDB to get more information on how to acces DP2 catalog data using that tool. Step-by-step instructions are available in this tutorial.
The necessary Python packages to use LSDB are included in weekly release w_2026_31 or later available under
/cvmfs/sw.lsst.eu/almalinux-x86_64/lsst_distrib
